Gusto ko magpunta sa probinsya. Yung may dagat.
Today, two of my dreams came true. One, ang makapag-White Mass. Two, ang magig kulot. Thank you @twish_04 for patiently curling my hair. Achieve ang Lemon Breeland peg!!! Salamat Lord sa araw na to. #SeniorsWhiteMass #
Team Pilipinas!!! Hindi ako maka-get over sa angas. I’m so proud! Galingan mo Pong! #TeamPhilippines
No internet ‘til final exams are up. Text me if you need me. LET’S DO THIS!!! #fightmode
The morning sun, phone chika with a dear friend, taho, a very pleasant manong taho, Colleen, volleyball, chocolates, Maya Angelou poems, sleep, coffee, conversations, garden pizza, hot wings, the family around it, a polite pizza delivery boy, G2B, more conversations, rain, Mingski and 10 o’clock lights out.
What are you grateful for?
Start of the week inspiration: Iyanla Vanzant
How you treat yourself is how you treat God… you are the representative of God in your life.
Weekend inspiration with goosebumps and tears: Bedan Barristers send off.
Ignore the crappy video, just you know, feel the spirit. Haha! In all of my five years in San Beda, I have never missed a send off. I distinctly remember my first send off during my first year in law school. Back when September was the Bar month, a smart and beautiful professor cancelled our class and encouraged us to attend the send off. She said it would inspire us. She was right. Napaka-inspiring, to the point na nakakaiyak na.
Yung feeling na, these group of people conquered San Beda Law, hindi na importante kung gaano katagal or gaano kabilis, just the fact that they were there: wearing that red jacket with pride and yabang, which they are very much entitled to. Yung feeling na, these group of people are like soldiers bound to go to war the next day and you can feel the nerves and tears but the support and encouragement from the community is so strong that all self doubt hides the moment they hear the first drum beat. Yung feeling na, gusto mong maging katulad nila.
And the feeling never changes. Year after year after year. The faces of the Barristers may have changed and September became November and November became October but still that feeling remains.
To all the barristers, God is with you. Fear not.
PS: Lord, next year? Please.
God’s favorite day must have been September 24. Because two of the most beautiful girls I know were born today. Happy birthday to the woman with hands so gifted, everything she touches becomes beautiful like her, who makes the best fried chicken and spaghetti, whose heart is bigger than all five of us combined and to the girl with the most beautiful eyelashes I have ever seen. Happy birthday Nanay @dannitz_1204 and @katkatkite ♡.
It’s a Barbra kind of day. Sometimes, you just have to stop, listen and marvel at the greatness that could only be hers. Aaaaaahhhh!!! You inspire me so much, Ms. Streisand. ♡
Start-of-the-week inspiration: Sierra Boggess.
"A fighter, dancing through the fire. I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar."
Start of the week inspiration.
PS: ‘Cause we need all the girl power we can get.
For the past years, I’ve been documenting my birthday on this blog quite promptly. I do that because I wanted my thoughts during that moment preserved as much as possible. I want the 40-year-old me to look at this blog and know what the 20-year-old version thinks about or how she feels or what she holds important and dear. But this year, midterm exams took over my life right after my birthday.
Thank you for the super sarap at super lambot na cake, Alex.
Donuts courtesy of Ate. Lucky me got to celebrate my birthday for 2 days.
Birthday girl’s request: Spaghetti at fried chicken ng Nanay.
Familia Cero minus Ate. She was on duty so napilitan kami mag-celebrate ulit the following day. Hey, I’m not complaining!
Rei, Eman and Alex braved the heavy rain and disregarded pagod just to celebrate with me. I know. God gave me angels for friends.
Thank you Kat Kalaw!
Honestly, I intend to write a very long entry about my realization of what it means to be 27. But, I’ll just sum it up for you, for me and my 3 classes tomorrow…
…Lord, thank You po. From the bottom of my heart.
All I want is the taste that your lips allow.
